BIOGRAPHY

Andrea Janes is a freelance screenwriter living in Brooklyn. She wrote her first feature-length screenplay, SCOOPS, in 2006 and completed her second, THE FLICKERS, in 2008. She is currently working on her third feature-length screenplay.

Andrea has worked in film production and distribution since 2002, most recently as Assistant Director of Sales for boutique indie distributor Kino International. Originally from Toronto, she has traveled extensively, and has lived in Switzerland, Paraguay and the Czech Republic.

Her favorite actress is Barbara Stanwyck. The screenplay she wishes she’d written is Groundhog Day. If she could have anything in the world, it would be a flux capacitor.
